Up Your Glass!A Riotous Evening of Wine, Wine Stories and Song.Jurgen Gothe’s New Show Will Have You Howling with Delight!
Wining is allowed from March 24 – April 7, with the launch of a new and exciting piece of wine entertainment written by the irrepressible Jurgen Gothe.
Up Your Glass! is an evening all about the vast subject of wine, with award-winning broadcaster and writer Jurgen Gothe, and “Canada’s one man cottage industry of sound,” multi-instrumentalist Kirk Elliott.
Get ready for lore and legend, fact and fable, spoofs and silliness, rants and raves (even rap!), all surrounded by lots of music. Up Your Glass! is directed by Andy Toth of Quintessence Musical Theatre and promises to be a first-of-its-kind entertainment.
Presented in beyond restaurant + lounge (the stylish new restaurant at the Century-Plaza Hotel and Spa, 1015 Burrard Street), the show is sure to set Vancouver on its ear as one of Canada’s most beloved radio voices and wine experts tweaks the noses (so to speak) of the wine world.
Sometimes very irreverent but always fun! Either dinner or special selections of small plates and wine tasters will be available.

The Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival is thrilled to have 4 of the performances of Up Your Glass! in conjunction with the Festival.
The following performances are $25 each with the purchase of any International Festival Tasting, Vintners Brunch or Flavours of the Festival event ticket (includes bus travel from the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre to beyond restaurant + lounge):
